In “Constant Struggle”

Indeed we have created Mankind in Constant Struggle”

Quran – Surah Al Balad Ayat 04

”Kabbad” is reffered to as struggle

This means we are going to always be caught up in a stuggle and these struggles will never end – Allah says this, so its true for all of us.

If fact most of us are facing something which we want to get rid of – maybe a failure, a depression, a death in family, a loss of job etc. – And we are struggling

This puts a question/questions into our HUMAN minds –

Why does Allah want it this way?, Dosen’t HE love us?, Why does HE punish us all the time?, How do I find happiness when there is so much struggle? Where can I find peace?

A Reflection

Generally Human minds are designed to find happiness in something they don’t have. They hope to achieve this SOMETHING – and this keeps them in a “constant struggle”

Example – You have a good job with a good salary, you aim to have a better position and higher salary, you struggle for this by any means.

Example – You have a qualification, you want to pursue to the next level, your previous qualification no longer gives you happiness and you struggle for the next level.

Example – You live in a country, you have your own house but you prefer to migrate to another country for a better life and house

This way man keeps himself in “constant struggle” never satisfied with what he has and then blames and questions Allah SWT for his struggling mind with no peace and happiness.

This is the “Kabbad” in which you lose your peace of mind.

We are taught that you get peace in salah, dhikr and dua. But these become just a routine in your daily schedule and your heart remains restless.

So how can we attain peace?

Allah says in the Quran “Verily in the remembarance of Allah do hearts find rest” (Quran 13 :28)

This means we have to be restless to find the rest. We have to be disturbed to find peace.

Your restlessness maybe because of a worldly matter but if you seek the rest in Allah, remembering HIM, through salat, dhikr and dua Allah assures you of a REST.

The solution is there, but are you willing to seek it?

This is Allah’s promise but are you willing to believe it?

The struggles will always be there, that’s how HE wants us to seek HIM out and ask for HIS help. But are you willing to follow the path HE is guiding you to OR do you just listen to music or play a movie or go out with friends to destress?

Take a BREAK from this world – Remember Allah, Your Creator – Pray two units of Salat/Namaz beg for HIS help in Sujood, remember and praise HIM often.

That’s why our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said “Prayer is the coolness of my eyes” (Sunan Al Nasa -3939)

Remembering Allah and finding happiness and peace in struggle (Kabbad) is exactly what Allah wants, for then He will give you the happines you want, the rest you seek and the peace you need.

The answers in my understanding are:
    1. When we struggle, it is a test from Allah to check if we trust and have faith in Him.
Secondly, He wants us to keep going to Him and this strengthens our relationship with Him.
    2. Oh yes He does, Allah knows what is best for us. Often man struggles to achieve what is best for him yet it is not good for him. Allah will test our patience for it and later give what is best for us.
    3. Allah does not punish us. How we perceive a hardship defines how best we will navigate it. Renew your intention and ask Allah for ease through the hardship as well as ask Him to help you learn the lessons from that same hardship.
    4. Allah trusts us with small things before He can trust us with the big things. Find happiness in waking up early in the morning with a shelter over your head, two limbs, ears, eyes, in good health and with provision. Only then will Allah give you greater things. Remember Allah is with the patient.
    5. I can find peace in Allah then myself. No one knows what I go through except Allah. My pain, sorrow, joy is known to Him. I find tranquility in Him because human beings are not perfect and they will disappoint. The only person there for me 24/7 with no emotions and ever present is Allah.
